Rudolf Valenta receives Immunology Leader Award
Rudolf Valenta from Deptartment of Pathophysiology and Allergy Research at MedUni Vienna has been awarded the Immunology Leader Award by Research.com. In the ranking of the world's most cited scientists in the field of "immunology", he occupies 163rd place and first place among the still active immunologists in Austria.
The Research.com ranking of the best scientists in the field of immunology was compiled from data gathered from a variety of data sources. The position in the ranking is based on the D-index (Discipline H-index) of researchers, which includes only publications and citation values for a studied discipline. Austria's most-cited immunologist remains Hans Lassmann (also from MedUni Vienna, already retired). Internationally, Lassmann is ranked 50th.
